Description
The Stones second album in Mono on the UK Boxed Decca label. Matrix -2A/-2A. Heavy set vinyl pressed in 1974 - far better than later re-pressings. The record comes housed in its original cover printed by MacNeill Press. The original Mono Decca poly-lined inner sleeve is also included. Please note this is the uncensored BLIND MAN text version and effectively mirrors the original release.
Vinyl (Ex+) The vinyl is in amazing condition and has clearly only seen very minimal use. Both sides are shiny like new without a single mark - even under close inspection. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. I don't recall more than a couple of very light crackles throughout the entire record. This really is very unusual.....The actual audio quality is also absolutely top notch and more than a match for those original 60's pressings. The sound is warm with an excellent full range. Can't ever remember hearing quite such a good rendition of this album....
Cover (Ex-) Again has clearly been carefully looked after. Many of these covers get totally wrecked, but not here, this one still maintains excellent rigidity. The front is still nice and shiny without the common problem of laminate bubbles or creasing. The rear seems to have survived in remarkable condition as well. There's a bit of light ring wear, but other than that it looks in great shape. Edge wear is minimal and the text on the spine is entirely intact. Difficult to find in better condition than this....
Inner (Ex) Remains in excellent condition. No splits. Just the glue has aged a bit along the seams.
