Description

THE ROLLING STONES - OUT OF OUR HEADS
Lovely first US press, imported from England, of the Stones' "Out Of Our Heads".  Pressed by London Records with FFRR (Full Frequency Range Recording) Red Labels, this vinyl plays perfectly.  Runouts are "XARL6791-1A / XARL6792-2A" which appear to be the first or second variant of the pressing and each side has "20" stamped.  This is the Decca export pressing, made in England for export to the US.  Not the "first first" pressing, but an early version of the original 1965 pressing.
Released by London Records, catalog LL 3429 FFRR - Full Frequency Range Recording Red Labels 1965 Release First Pressing, early variant Mono Made by Decca Record Company and lacquer cut by Decca Studios Record made in England Imported vinyl, covers printed in US Labels have style and spelling in British convention
Tracks listed as "Band 1, Band 2, etc." 'S' above catalog number on right side of each label Catalog # on label is printed in British style with a decimal point rather than hyphen/space Label matrix number is printed upside down in British convention
Sleeve grades G+.  The heavy cardstock holds together well and is in good shape overall.  There is heavy ring wear on the front and the seams are starting to split at the top and bottom of the opening.  They won't get worse if you take good care of it.  The disc will be shipped outside the sleeve in a new audiophile sleeve.  The original "London FFRR" inner sleeve is included but has two material tears on one side, though it remains intact.
Vinyl play grades VG+ or better.  Audio playback was perfect for me with no issues, surface noise or deficiencies.  The vinyl surface shows many light scratches/marks/hairlines but these appear to have no impact on playback according to my play testing.
With a better sleeve this is probably a $75 record.
