An original 1st press of OOOH's on the UK Decca label. Matrix 12A/9B. Please note that the labels are consistent with very 1st press from 1965. Note how the labels have the Decca deep-grove that was discontinued only 18 months later. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace mono cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve dated '065' - one month prior to the original releases date [July 1965]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there's a couple of light marks per side, and one incredibly superficial trail - absolutely nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are seriously quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Not much to dislike here...this is a terrific playing copy. Really nice vibrant audio with a lovely airy quality to it. That sort of rendition is usually delivered only by a lightly used copy. I've never witnessed a better copy that's for sure. All tracks play top-quality...whether that's the more complex sections, or the low-key acoustic moments. It plays to a high standard the whole way through - no patches of this, or that. It just plays clean - period. At worst a coupe of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side..> FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) Super difficult to find in top condition, but this copy is a cut above what usually surfaces. The front is impeccable with barely a crease and no signs of ageing or laminate lift [unusual]. The rear is looking way better than what you tend to find and seems to have largely have avoided the worst rigours of the ageing process. Hardly any signs of the usual surface wear you tend to find. Please note there's one signature neatly written in the top right corner. The spine is pretty much 100% intact with all text fully legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity. A lovely specimen that has defied the odds that's for sure.
Inner (Vg+) A bit aged, but no splits.
