Description

An original 1st press of OOOH's on the UK Decca label. Matrix 12A/8B. Please note that the labels are consistent with 1st press from 1965. Note how the tape number over on the right hand side is inverted and does not include brackets - this is the very 1st label design. Note how the labels have the Decca deep-grove that was discontinued only 18 months later. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace mono cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there's a couple of light marks per side - absolutely nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one very slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. Not much to dislike here...this is a really sweet playing copy. Really nice vibrant audio with a lovely airy quality to it. That sort of rendition is usually delivered only by a lightly used copy. I've certainly not witnessed any better. All tracks play top-quality...whether that's the more complex sections, or the low-key acoustic moments. A players copy...and a keeper for sure. The only slightest deviation was one click toward the end of 'I'm Free'...otherwise..sweet!
Cover (Vg) Difficult to find in top condition, but this copy looks ok and is more than acceptable. The front is very well preserved without that dreaded laminate lift - and only a bit of light creasing over toward the opening. There's a bit of ageing and surface wear on the rear as is common, and a biro mark top-left. All the text on the spine is legible, but there's a few stress creases evident. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Only slightest ageing. No splits.
