Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers First Issue UK release with the iconic Warhol (as in holes) zip cover which is fully working and in great shape. The main cover itself in in good condition, the belt buckle is complete with only a small crease,the spine of the cover is in good condition and front and back of the cover is also good. The Inner poster is in almost perfect condition, it's the heavy card version and still retains that new solid feel. The inside of the cover (the pants!!) is also very good. There are no daft marks or pen marks anywhere on the cover. The record is...well a bit like Keith, it's been through the wars a bit, still plays,still sounds good, doesn't jump around much, just as I said, like Keith it dont look great.
But here's the thing. the auction starts at a tenner, the sleeve itself as a work of art is worth more than that,where could you buy anything like that in shitty Britain for a tenner, I'm not expecting it to go for mad money cos it aint mint, it's just a cool bloody record that should be in YOUR collection. And here's another thing, I know a good bit about vinyl, and man there is some amount of shite sold on here by folk who claim it's a lot better than it really is and they know they are doing it,they should know better. If some of these folk had this particular copy they would be looking for upwards of 60 quid just because they mentioned Record Collector 10 times in their ad, spoke at length about types of record mailers and waffled on about certain cleaning processes.
Here's my Sticky Fingers it's been in my home since it came out, 40 odd years ago, if you fancy it have a bid, anything you need to know, give me a shout . Thanks Folks...
Oh by the way I send all my records in good quality heavy cardboard mailers......
