The Rolling Stones – Their Satanic Majesties Request
London NPS-2 – Original Lenticular 3-D Cover
Offered here is a very nice copy of Their Satanic Majesties Request by The Rolling Stones on London Records (NPS-2), complete with the original lenticular 3-D front cover. This is one of the band’s most visually distinctive and collectible late-1960s releases, with EX vinyl, a vibrant gatefold, and strong overall presentation.
About the Release
Released in December 1967, Their Satanic Majesties Request was The Rolling Stones’ full psychedelic statement and one of the most experimental albums in their catalog. It was the first Stones album issued with the same track listing in both the U.K. and the U.S., and it features standout songs such as “She’s a Rainbow,” “2000 Man,” and “2000 Light Years From Home.” The album was produced during the height of the psychedelic era and remains one of the most distinctive and discussed titles in the band’s discography.
For collectors, original London NPS-2 copies with the lenticular 3-D front cover are especially desirable because that cover design is one of the album’s signature features and one of the most recognizable sleeves of the era. Early pressings with Bell Sound matrix details, intact gatefold presentation, and original inner sleeves are increasingly harder to find in nice condition. The 3-D cover, vibrant psychedelic artwork, and original packaging all add significantly to the collector appeal of this release.
