Original 1st US Mono pressing promotional release factory sealed copy of the Rolling Stones 8th US studio album “Their Satanic Majesties Request” whose commercial release occurred on December 8th, 1967. When you come across the expression “incredibly rare” often it’s an exaggeration. However, this expression is fully applicable to the currently listed copy of this album. Finding a Mono copy in good condition takes a lot of time and effort, and at the same time, you aren’t even hoping that you’ll come across a factory sealed copy. In many years of collecting and conducting auctions, we had never come across a Monaural factory sealed copy of this album, not to mention the fact that it’s a promotional release. Some of the promotional copies of The Rolling Stones albums presented at our current auction were acquired from a collector, and unlike them, it took us way more effort to convince him to sell this copy to us. 1st print gatefold cover with the 1st cover variation containing a psychedelic 3D lenticular panel with the artwork by Michael Cooper which shows the four “hidden” Beatles among the Rolling Stones. This album is considered to be The Rolling Stones’ response to the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. The top right corner of the front cover contains a round “Promotional Copy Not For Sale” sticker underneath the fully intact shrink wrap which contains the original breathe holes on the front and back cover. The bottom right corner of the back cover contains the “Mono” banner with the Monaural “NP-2” catalog number. If you look attentively, then through the shrink wrap at the mouth of the cover, you’ll see a red / white psychedelic inner sleeve. It’s guaranteed that inside you’ll find the 1st print red London Records Mono labels with the “London” boxed logo and the Monophonic “NP-2” catalog number.

 This incredibly rare album is in outstanding Mint condition. The shrink wrap is fully intact containing the original breathe holes, one on each side of the album. The top and bottom right corners of the back cover only have a very light push in. Aside from that, this copy is in truly amazing condition. The original songbook is in great vintage condition with all of the pages fully intact and no writing. The front cover only has some light signs of use and age shelf wear.
