Description
SKL5019 An original first pressing from 1969 on the UK Decca label. Matrix -1W/-2W. Record comes housed in the original 1969 gatefold cover with flipbacks top and bottom [1970 copies do not have these flipbacks].
Cover (Ex) Has been well looked after which is a rare find for this hexagonal version. The cover remains totally intact and has a nice rigid feel to it. There's some very light edgewear apparent, but it is minimal and the spine is fully readable. Very slight sticker residue is visible in the top right of the front cover, but in all other respects this is a great example of an early cover.
Vinyl (Ex) Again, seems to have been well cared for and has not been overplayed. Under close inspection I can see nothing more than a couple of ultra light marks. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intro and inbetweens are nice and quite and the audio comes across with great clarity and minimal interference. The only caveat to this is that there is a tiny mark right at the start of 'She's A Rainbow' which causes a couple of ticks. Setting this aside playback is of a very high standard. The actual audio quality on these early pressing really is impressive - you'll never find the depth and resolution conveyed on this LP on a CD.
Inner (Ex) The original hexagonal inner. A couple of age spots, but in all other respects perfect condition. No splits or markings at all.
