Description
The Rolling Stones second UK album on Decca entitled "The Rolling Stones No2"..Mono LK 4661. Earliest printing cover with "The Blind Man" text....This cause somewhat of an uproar when it was released as the blind association took offence the the text on the cover & lobbied to have it withdrawn or changed. They succeeded & later copies omitted the blind man comment..There you go. The original James Upton cover is in really quite nice condition, corners still square , no rips or tears or writing , bit of bubbling of the laminate along the spine & a couple of areas where the laminate is creased giving the impression that the cover got bent but it hasn't ! couple of light smudges on the back cover, nothing bad or even worth mentioning but, you know me...Just being picky ! XARL-6619-1A / XARL-6620-1A..... Indicating The Very First Pressing. The Vinyl still retains its original gloss & with only a few light , non sounding , surface marks I wouldn't hesitate in grading this as EX.. The deep grooved labels have some light spindle marks, nothing heavy & with no tears or writing I reckon again warrant EX.. The Cover as I said before looks to be in really nice shape with no real faults or problems & what with this being the earliest cover this has survived remarkably well....Again, I'd regard this as EX
So, to recap....The Rolling Stones No2....Excellent condition all round but with a 99p start ( I must be bonkers!) I'm hoping you guys out there will determine it's true worth.....
