Description

Here is a nice copy of the Rolling Stones' LP "12 X 5," which was released in 1964 on London Records LL 3402. The vinyl here was Made in England and it says so right on the label. This is the maroon color label with "London ffrr" inside a box plus the shape of an ear.     I don't know a lot about the various Rolling Stones label variations, but I believe that the Londonffrr  pressings made in England were the very first Rolling Stones LP's released in the U.S.
Visually, the vinyl looks clean. I looked at it under several strong lights and it looks so near to Mint! I play tested some of the vinyl. Outside of a slight noise BEFORE the music began on Side 1, I heard no clicks or pops or surface noise. I did notice that there was silence in the lead-in grooves and in the grooves between cuts. The sound was dynamic!
I looked at the matrix numbers and found the following: Side One: ARL-6493-2A and for Side Two: ARL-6494-2A.
In addition, this early 1964 pressing came with a special ffrr inner sleeve which was also "Made in Great Britain."
The cover was made in the U.S.A. It does have some issues which can be seen in the photo. First, the cover is all intact with no splits. However, the spine and edges have much wear. Except for the edges, the main cover has normal wear. But there is also a "wrinkle" over the top of Keith's head and another smaller one at the bottom of the cover.
Certainly a 1964 issue, this LP goes back to the Stones earliest history here.
Shipping/ Handling will be $5.99 Media Mail within the U.S. See my other records for sale this week on Ebay by clicking "Seller's other items."
