Description

The Runaways were an American all-female rock band formed in 1975, and performed in the club circuit around Los Angeles. The Runaways quickly became lumped in with the growing punk rock movement. Members include: Cherie Currie (lead vocals), Joan Jett (rhythm guitar, vocals), Lita Ford (lead guitar), Jackie Fox (bass), and Sandy West (drums). Queens of Noise is their second studio album released in 1977. Most of the album consists of the 'heavy' guitar-driven tracks that have come to be seen as The Runaways' signature sound. The group did much of the producing themselves. They were a groundbreaking band, suburban girls singing openly and honestly about casual sex, intoxication, and wild all-night parties was certainly radical for 1977. The cover is in excellent condition and comes with the printed lyrics insert. The vinyl is in excellent condition. Mercury Records, #SRM-1-1126, STEREO.
