Description
This auction is for the vinyl album "The Queen is Dead" from The Smiths, that is pictured and described here. I don't know exact details, but I believe it is an early pressing (could be first edition, but I don't know how to tell). The cover has a sticker in the upper right highlighting a few of the hit songs on this album.
The cover, sleeve, and vinyl album all show a little bit of wear, but not in any way abused, and have good eye appeal. The record itself seems to be in good shape - though I haven't had a turntable for a couple decades, and I honestly don't think I ever played the album after purchasing it. I started to pick up the vinyl after building a collection of CDs, so I viewed the vinyl albums more as a collectible than as a music source.
The album has an inscription on each side near the center label - please see photos for details: - Side 1: FEAR OF MANCHESTER - Side 2: THEM WAS ROTTEN DAYS
I don't know if those are typical of all versions/pressings or not, but seemed interesting to me.
