You are looking at a first pressing of the masterpiece that is The Queen Is Dead from the band that changed my life forever, The Smiths. I have what I believe to be one of the best and most extensive Smiths and Morrissey collections which includes a multitude of signatures from every member from every period of each of the members careers. While I have items that have been signed at other periods of time this LP was signed during The Queen Is Dead release time frame. This copy is signed boldly in gold large font by MORRISSEY on the bottom front of the cover. For some reason I am only just now noticing that the gold signature is not showing up well and it appears really light but I assure you that this is not the case. While the signature has indeed faded throughout the years it is still very bold and visible so I ill get a better picture posted soon. On the top left Johnny Marr has also signed the front cover. There was a small handful of this title that was signed in gold like this one by Morrissey as a promotional item during it's release and those do sometimes come up for auction although it's quite seldom now that you see them available. Where this copy is special is that it includes Johnny's signature on the front cover as well and it also includes the other two members Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce on the inside next to their image with an additional 2nd signature by Johnny Marr!! Unfortunately, (and of course) it does not have a 2nd signature from Morrissey on the inside. The cover is not in mint condition but it is still in very nice solid shape. IT has some corner bumping and some light scuffing perhaps but no heavy folding or bends. The vinyl is pretty clean but this wasn't my "play" copy so it hasn't been play tested in many many years. If I was forced to grade the vinyl I would say its VG+++-EX---.
I consider myself an expert on Smiths memorabilia as well as an expert/ professional in regards to the members signatures and this is important when collecting  signed items by Morrissey, because his signature has changed and evolved drastically over time and I have had many things signed by him throughout the year and my collection showcases his different signature styles. I can guarantee with out any question that these signatures are 100% genuine as 90% of my collection was obtained by me in person and what was not was obtained by my Father who is a musician who used to work within the industry professionally.
