FRANCE 1970 GOLD LABEL PRESSING.
I first heard this masterpiece in the summer or 1978 and it changed my life. After my first play of the record I thought this is just a bunch of noise . It came so highly recomended by the very first punk I had ever seen in the flesh , that i stuck with it .
After the fifth play it really hit me . The second the needle touched the plastic it condenced for me everything that punk rock had tried to be . Over the last 30 years ive played this LP to death and I swear everytine I play this I discover something new .I was an angry young man and this LP captured that perfectly . Im now a grumpy old man and this 12 inch piece of genius has captured that also . This LP has grown with me .
Its the greatest record I have ever heard .
The gatefold sleeve is laminated front and back and has a none laminated pasteback inner gatefold . The only downside to the sleeve is a previous owner has written his name near Dave Alexander RIP. The name written is about 1 inch x 1/2 inch .
Other than that the sleeve would be close to mint, but fairly, its got to be Very Good .The spine is in great condition and all spinal writings are fully ledgible.The spine is firm and strong.
The vynil has a few hairlines but plays totally throughout with no sticking no jumps and no flaws at all it plays superbly .(I test played it 3 times and im gonna give it another spin tomorrow just cos ive got an hour to kill) .
The gold labels are beautifully clean so the record is a very concervative Very Good ++ .
These Gold label pressings were made in tiny numbers much rarer the white label promos and were only made in Canada Germany and France .
A seriously rare STOOGES masterpice of a record and very VERY RARE .
