The Beatles     "The Savage Young Beatles"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Savage BM 69 from 1965.      This was only issued in Mono.     It is the second pressing with yellow front cover and orange labels.     This is an authentic second issue with the record number on the front cover at top right in black ink.      The labels are orange with "Savage Records' at top center.       The back cover has liner notes about Pete Best.

In the Perry Cox and Frank Daniels Beatles price guide this is SAV69.MR2.

The band is : John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Pete Best.     These songs were recorded in Germany in 1962 when they backed up Tony Sheridan.      The Beatles only play on four of these songs : 'Cry For A Shadow', 'If You Love Me", "Why", and "Sweet Georgia Brown".     This version of "Sweet Georgia Brown" is the re-recorded version with the line : 'in Liverpool she even dared to criticize the Beatles hair'.   

The songs are : Cry For A Shadow, Let's Dance, If You Love Me Baby, What I Say, Sweet Georgia Brown, Ruby Baby, Ya-Ya, and Why.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Record is VG+

The cover is VG+ with no ring wear and no writing.         There is tiny top seam wear and six inches of clear tape on the top right seam.          The vinyl looks near mint and it plays VG+, with very light handling marks and light static at the beginning of each side.       The labels are clean with light spindle marks.       The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
