Description
Up for auction is an album recorded by The Beatles during their early years when Peter Best was playing drums before Ringo Starr joined the group. This is a second issue of the album. The following notes are from a listing for this album on Discogs.com:
The second issue.
After a very limited first pressing, the album was repackaged with a yellow background jacket and orange record labels.
The text on the cover above the photographs has an error as it reads “This is the…The Savage Young Beatles.” The double usage of the word “the” was never corrected on any authentic copies.
The liner notes on the re-issued back covers are modified to remove the mistake about “two instrumentals” on the first back covers and also sympathetically imply that Pete Best was wronged when he was sacked from The Beatles. The text still erroneously refers to Pete Best’s singing.
Also see the the photo of additional notes on the back cover.
This VG copy has significant haze, fine lines and paper scuffs, but no scrapes or scratches. The gloss is mostly gone, I have not play tested this vinyl. The G+ cover has tape on the spine and top edge, ring wear with abrasion, water staining and storage discoloration.
See photos.
- Album will be shipped securely in an approved record mailer via USPS Media Mail.
Good luck bidding on this rare collector's item.
