The Scorpions, Lovedrive, 1979 ~ Mercury/Phonogram 12” 33 RPM Vinyl LP Promotional Copy, SRM-1-3795

For auction is the Lovedrive LP by the Scorpions. This is a 12” 33-RPM LP promotional copy released by Mercury/Phonogram in 1979. On the back side of the cover, there is a sticker which says Promotional Record for Broadcast & Review NOT FOR SALE. (I didn’t see that until I listed this. On the front, there is a hand-written price tag telling me I bought this for $3.75, I don’t know where. My guess is that someone who worked at a radio station took it home and sold it. Eventually I picked it up for the artwork, played it once, and shelved it after that.
There are only minor blemishes on the record. There is minor wear around the spindle hole. Other than that, the record looks perfect. Out of a surfeit of caution, I’m saying the record itself is in VG+condition.
The record cover I would say is in VG condition. It has an unsightly but small tear on one edge. A hand-written price sticker is on the front. The sleeve is in Near Mint (NM) condition. To me, it looks perfect.
