Come The Day
An Australian / New Zealand press on the Columbia label catalog # SCXO.6093 and made in Australia and New Zealand 1966
Comments:
This is a rare Australian release of the Seekers album "Come The Day" that has an Australian made cover with a New Zealand Contract pressed vinyl record. The label looks similar to the New Zealand released label except it has the Australian matrix number on it and the words "Manufactured in New Zealand for EMI Australia". Contact Pressings
The nature of vinyl production in Australia was such that it was common for the pressing of popular newly-released records to momoplise vinyl production lines. This scenario naturally compromised the production of other vinyl, including back-catalogue records that still sold sufficient numbers to warrant ongoing pressing. A standard practice in the record industy was to contract the production of vinyl out to other manufactures, either domestic or abroad, and EMI (Australia) was no exception.

The most prolific outsourcing of vinyl production was to His Master's Voice (New Zealand)

Record: VG+
This record is very clean except for some light marks that do not have an effect on the sound. It plays great loud and clean with no background noise. Labels are clean except a few light marks on B label.
Sleeve: VG+
This record cover is clean except for some minor shelf wear.
