Description
Gloria is the debut album by Chicago’s Shadows Of Knight. Propelled by their hit treatment of the title track, the Van Morrison penned classic by Them. Originally released in 1966 after the success of “Gloria” which had become a Top 10 hit. Later in the year “Oh Yeah” was released and charted at #39 . The Shadows were so much more than a one-hit garage band. Equal parts Stones, Yardbirds and Who. Their raw punk snarling energy was infectious. They treated Chess blues covers as well as any Brit invasion acts of the same era. Sundazed does the band justice here with a brilliant heavy virgin vinyl re-master . They are one of the best at remasters/compilations in the business today. Like new conditions
