Description

An original mono 1st press of the debut on the UK Columbia label from 1961. Matrix 2N/2N. Stampers 1AD/1RL. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original flipback Garrod & Lofthouse cover. 
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. One is tempted to call it faultless as it's getting very close. Just pure clean audio all the way through with that lovely early 60's warmth in the sound. No chance bettering this copy so I wouldn't even bother looking. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of light crackles in a couple of isolated spots ..the whole way through...stunning in every way.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly been carefully looked after down the years. Nice shiny front with one slight crease in the bottom right corner. The rear is, unusually, looking almost new without any signs of ageing. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
