I still find this soundtrack to be ~40 minutes of the most frightening noises a turntable can make. The Wendy Carlos sections are full of foreboding and then it launches (wrong word - more like crawls, or seeps...) into Lontano by Ligeti. Having seen this performed live recently I don't find it as scary as I used to - it is the Penderecki on side two that does me in.... I am sure the sound-rack on it's own is more frightening than the film - good as that is. Put on side two, turn the lights down and the volume up and see how long you can stand the tension...or until your wife takes a baseball bat to your head. Completely defused of course by Henry Hall at the end!
A great condition sleeve (just slight disk ring discolouration on very bottom of front) no dog ears/tears/folds. Disk is in great condition (not the sort of thing you put on every day) and only thing of note is a slight pressing imperfection (a 1mm wide dimple) on track 3 side 2, which is trackable using a good system (Thorens/SME/V-15 works!).
