Description
This is the original vinyl release of The Sisters of Mercy's long-delayed, much anticipated, and hugely divisive (amongst us Goths at the time!) second album, 'Floodland' (Merciful Release records, 1987, catalogue no. MR441L, "limited release" of 10,000, this is No. 4339). I love and hate this album in equal measure, but it is probably The Last Great Goth Album before Goth was subsumed into the mainstream (for me, 'First And Last And Always' is, like the title says, the ONLY actual Goth album, but this is probably not the forum for this debate). You may be able to tell that I was very into The Sisters of Mercy, I'm still not objective enough to evaluate this album properly. 'This Corrosion' is brilliant, that I can say.

I usually played my vinyl once to record it to cassette, and played the tape afterwards. In this case however, I was such a Sisters fan that I bought both copies of the Limited Numbered edition of 'Floodland' that were in my local record shop, so this record has either been played just once, or never at all.[I have more Sisters 12" singles/EPs still to list: No Time To Cry, The Reptile House, Alice, Body And Soul, Dominion, This Corrosion, Temple Of Love - if you are interested in any of these, I can combine p&p on up to 3 records]
