The Sisters Of Mercy: Vision Thing (Original 1990 LP)
Eagerly anticipated and purchased by me from HMV on the day of its release back in 1990. It has been very well looked after in my personal record collection ever since and is still in great condition. The sleeve has some light storage wear around the edges, probably more visible because the cover is black, but this is minimal and there are no splits and the spine is clear, sharp and fully readable (see photo). The printed inner sleeve has some mild creasing from handling as it is very thin paper, but again no splits or tears.
The record itself has some light sleeve removal hairlines here and there when scrutinised under very bright LED light, but nothing feel-able that actually affects the play. I have just wet cleaned it in my professional record cleaning machine with the award winning L'art du Son cleaning fluid so it is now in the best possible condition for the new owner to enjoy and comes up with a lovely sheen. I have test played both sides all the way through on my Project Debut Carbon turntable fitted with an Ortefon 2M Blue stylus and it sounds phenominal. The record sits perfectly flat on the deck and plays through beautifully with only very, very minimal light surface noise between each track on the run ins which is normal for records of this age. It sounds awesome, mastered very well with a wide sound stage and punchy bass that really opens up when cranked up. Absolutely no skipping or jumping.
I will send the LP out to the new owner in a proper record mailer so no damage will come to it in transit. Free postage to UK buyers.
