The Sisters of Mercy, Body Electric/Adrenochrome. I've had this single since the early eighties when I was a fan of the band. Whilst at Leeds University in 1983 I saw them live a few times (including at the excellent Warehouse Club) - although my rockabilly-style outfits were a bit out of place amidst the goth audience. Still the smell of hairspray was so strong and the air so thick with smoke, that I don't think anyone worried too much or even noticed. I bought this single and many others in Leeds probably from Gerrolls in the Merrion Centre. Included in sale is my ticket to a gig at the Venue in London where Sisters of Mercy were supporting Nico (ex. Velvet Underground) on Monday 7th June 1982. They were pretty good I seem to remember and she wasn't that good.
Record is in very good condition, some light surface marks but play and sound not affected - and recording/band sound amazingly fresh and as powerful as when I first listened to them back in the early 80s. i have played though both sides once to check there are no skips. Side A has a very slight hair thin mark over about an inch which does not affect play or sound (i've photographed it in close up so you can see it). I have probably only played the record a few times when I first bought it. Front cover has a slight crease at top (see picture) Ticket is in very good (used!) condition. Selling to help fund guitar purchase! Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
