IMLP 012, original first issue UK 1968 Lilac ‘Immediate’ mono record labels.

A UK copy in original condition, featuring:

1. original UK 1968 first issue, five piece round ‘sleeve’, with the original UK text of, ‘UK Patent application no. 21639/68’ and ’Printed and made in England by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd’,

2. original UK 1968 first issue ‘Lilac’ mono record labels with an ‘inverted’ matrix !’,

3. there is an inconsistency with the records matrix, for printed on the record labels it states, ‘IMP 012 1Y and 2Y !, but the engraved records matrix states, ‘IMLP 012 - 1L and 2L !,

4. comes with its original ‘protective’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition, an original UK 1968, ‘five piece’ section, ‘round’ sleeve. There are NO stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. Three of the round sections have become detached, but two are still attached. The round panel section with, ‘Ogdens Nut Gone Flake’ on has some small blue pen writing and some age related marks to the front and rear. The round panel section with, ‘1 Ib‘ Box‘ on has some small blue pen writing and some age related marks to the front and rear and two 10mm tears where it is attached. The round panel section with, ‘Luxury Sus papers‘ on has a 20mm and a 30mm tear to where it is attached. Theres NO stickers or sticker residue.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good condition and is the original UK spec, clear plastic protective inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good condition. Side two is in very good+ condition. The record has remained dark and glossy.

The matrix are: IMLP 012 - 1L and IMLP 012 - 2L, but printed on each record label is: IMLP 012 - 1Y and IMLP 012 – 2Y !,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 M’ and ‘2 T’.

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good+, each side plays with some ‘ticks’, ‘crackle’ and ‘pops’, heard here and there. The record plays with a full, loud period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in near very good condition, there is a ‘sticker’ on side one. Side two is in very good+ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
