Description

Here we have a very rare white label pre-release copy of “The Smiths” self titled debut album released by Rough Trade Records in 1984 catalogue no. ROUGH 61 . This copy includes the Insert Info sheet (which has been folded down the middle) which gives details about the album, tour dates & singles releases etc (see photos).

I have listed both the sleeve and vinyl as in EXCELLENT condition as neither show any real wear & tear (other than a light sticker pull mark on the top left of the sleeve) and as the album has been stored with my collection for all these years I know it hasn’t been used. I have play tested the vinyl prior to listing it just to check sound quality, and as it’s a white label that it is what it’s supposed to be! Played through fine with no skips, jumps sticks or surface noise on my Pioneer Deck with a Goldring Elan stylus.
