Description

The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.
I accept returns and offer a full refund if you are not happy with your purchase.

The Smiths - 'How Soon Is Now?' Canadian 7" - 1985

Catalogue No. 29007-7 - Sire Records

This is a rather obscure Canadian 7" single from 1985 which has an unusually simple sleeve design. Being issued in a very thin paper sleeve, it is quite difficult to find one of these in good condition and it is now pretty rare to find one for sale at all. Many were possibly played and discarded owing to the relative lack of Smiths awareness in Canada in 1985 and the underwhelming nature of the sleeve, making this a nice find for completist Smiths collectors. Interestingly, it has the 'Phil Brown Edit' version of 'How Soon Is Now?' on the A-Side and a corresponding edit of 'The Headmaster Ritual' on the reverse along with the usual version of 'Shakespeare's Sister'.

The vinyl and labels are in excellent condition, with some surface 'scuff' marks which do not affect play. It is in the large centre-hole 'jukebox' format as issued. The outer sleeve is also in excellent condition, and would be better but for a seam split in the middle of the bottom edge of the sleeve and a very small tear at the bottom which is relatively unobtrusive and does not overly detract from the appearance of the sleeve. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the Ebay ID lettering is just on the pictures and not the item itself.

All my auctions start at 1P and have NO RESERVE. They are all 100% genuine, original versions. Some are in mint/new condition and some are used; all will go to the highest bidder. I offer a money-back guarantee if anything is described incorrectly. Postage and Packing is 1.00 in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, this is subsidised by myself and the actual costs to me will, of course, be greater. Please do consider paying the extra 70p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. I always take great care to package items well with strong mailing materials.

See my other auctions for related rare items here. If multiple auctions are won at the same time, I will charge only the postage cost for the heaviest item and pay the remainder myself. This is the case wherever you live.
