The Smiths - 'How Soon Is Now?' 3 LP Set - 1988
Catalogue no. 12005 - Portugal Transmedia
This is a triple vinyl LP set which is a collection of the Smiths albums: 'Hatful Of Hollow', 'The Queen Is Dead' and 'Strangeways Here We Come'. The 3 LPs are housed in an outer sleeve with unique artwork (see photo) and is not commonly seen offered for sale. Record Collector placed the set at Number 98 with a value of 30.00 (see photo).This copy is in a highly respectable condition given the perishable nature of the sleeve (which is generally too weak to hold 3 LPs!). The sleeve has no stickers or writing and only a few moderate creases around the sleeve entrance. It is graded very good, however, due to a single seam split on the lower part of the spine (around 1.5 inches in length). This does not majorly detract from the overall appearance however, and it is still a nice collectable item which is in far better condition than most examples of the sleeve which you see (with sellotape etc around the edges due to major splitting which has fortunately not happened here). The vinyl is in excellent condition in the cases of 'The Queen Is Dead' and 'Strangeways Here We Come' but is only good in the case of 'Hatful of Hollow' due to a significant surface mark which looks as though it would affect the play. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the yellow ID lettering is just on the pictures and not the item itself.
