The Smiths - Meat Is Murder Original Vinyl LP Original Inner USA 1985 Promo use.
Condition is "Excellent". Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
Well this is an anomaly to say the least. I would say this Smiths second studio album would appeal to collectors.
For a start its Not a UK copy, as most are on Ebay, it's in fact a USA Promo Copy, stamped in gold with a promo only warning (see pics) not only that, it has an extra track, "How Soon is Now".
The song is not even stated on the back of the cover, ( see pics)or the inner sleeve, of which, has the lyrics of all the songs!!
However there is an odd sticker on the cover which states its a US copy with the extra song!??
The disc itself is in excellent condition not a visible scratch. Visually in great condition.
Most sellers leave it at a visual check....However I've given it a listen and there are a few pops on the first track and slight noise between tracks, but you're not supposed to be listening to that? There is also a split in the seam of the inner sleeve. Because its on the seam it doesnt even notice. The sleeve of which, doubles up as the lyrics sheet for the songs.
But its 35 years old and to be honest a little wear is expected.
Because its unusual its been very hard to value, I know even promo 7" copies start at £60 plus!! Or it could be worth 100's so who knows ?
Ebay suggested a starting price so I'm going with that.
Disc comes from a pet and smoke free home. Thanks for looking.
