Description
Hello!
Up for auction today is a rare limited edition 10" LP of the Smiths' second studio album, "Meat is Murder". This was part of a series issued by WEA in the UK/Europe in 1993. At that time I was collecting all things Smiths, so naturally I bought as many of these as I could find from a Metro Detroit record shop that is now unfortunately long gone. I'm now at pretty much maximum capacity for vinyl and unfortunately must part with some of these collectors items!
This copy is numbered 1463 and is in pretty spectacular condition. The record itself may be unplayed -- I own an original 1985 UK pressing of this album (among other versions) so I do not believe this was played, but I am not 100% certain. If it was ever played, it would have been only once, and the vinyl is glossy and extremely clean. Like most UK vinyl of that time period, these never came in shrink-wrap (just bagged), and my philosophy is that nothing "open" can be classified Mint (hence the NM rating). This has lived in its bag for its entire life, so the cover is also in near mint condition, with no blemishes to speak of. Note that the photos show the exact item you will receive.
Shipping will be via USPS. This will be well-packed, with plenty of padding, and with the record removed from the sleeve to prevent seam splitting.
