The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Most of The Smiths' Rough Trade singles were promoted through either 7" or 12" 'white label' pressings which were sent to radio stations in advance of the single release date. Such 'white label' pressings were produced in very limited numbers before the pressings of the standard singles began, and the numbers which were pressed undoubtedly varied greatly over the different single releases. While there are a few 12" singles whose 'white label' records appear to be more common, the promotional pressings for 'Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me' appear only very rarely for sale and it seems likely that comparatively few copies were pressed for the last three Smiths single releases judging by the infrequency with which they are seen on the market. The matrix numbers are the first-run machine-stamped "RTT 200 A-1U-1-1-1" and "RTT 200 B-1U-1-1-1". While all of the Smiths white label 12"s are becoming ever more scarce and valuable, being seen less and less often offered up for sale these days as they are increasingly bought up by collectors, this particular white label pressing appears to be harder to track down than many of the others. This is a rare opportunity to obtain one of these original and genuine first pressings of a Smiths 12" single release, and which is offered here in remarkable barely-used condition (see below).The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, having clearly been played only once or twice and having being extremely well looked-after. There are barely even any 'hairline' superficial surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl visible if the record is held to the light. The white labels are very clean, with no writing or marks on them. The relatively more common outer and inner sleeves are both present, and are in strong excellent condition with only light signs of wear and handling in places but no creases or damage. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
