Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home. Note that my postage offer still stands. If you win more than one auction within a week, you pay only the postage on one of the items (see below). This can make a particularly big difference if you are an overseas bidder.
The Smiths - 'Rank' UK LP With Limited Poster - 1988
Catalogue no. ROUGH 126L -Rough Trade Records
The first copies of this LP had a free poster given away inside the sleeve with the record. In addition, these copies were given a slightly different catalogue number 'ROUGH 126L' as opposed to just 'ROUGH 126'. This was only distinguishable by a silver sticker attached to the front of the sleeve which is present here. It is rare to find this complete with sleeve sticker and poster as here, and the item was listed at Number 94 in the Smiths Top 100 collectables in 1995 whereupon it was estimated to have a value of 30.00 (see photo).The vinyl is in strong excellent condition, having practically no surface marks and no discernable signs of having been played. The inner sleeve is similarly well preserved with no marks or damage. The outer sleeve is also in strong excellent condition with just one moderate corner bump being the only significant sign of wear. The poster is in very good condition due to having a few light brown 'age spots' here and there, and some 'blu tack' marks in the corner on the reverse indicating that the poster has been displayed on a wall at some point but there are, remarkably, no significant creases or signs of wear on the front as a result. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the yellow 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
