12" vinyl white label test pressing of The Smith's 'Shakespeare's Sister' EP from 1985. Features the songs 'Shakespeare's Sister' 'What She Said' and 'Stretch Out And Wait'.
The record has only been played once, to find out what it was and to check the condition. No scratches, pops, skips or other surface noise. Plays nice and cleanly and I have estimated it to be a Very Good Plus. The sleeve is generic cardboard with some wear as mentioned above. However, there are no splits or tears so would probably be graded as Good. I am no professional record dealer, so have no in depth knowledge of this stuff but following general collecting guidelines I consulted online, the grading would seem to be accurate.
The record has the RT-181 A1, RTT-181 B1, HOME IS WHERE THE ART IS and TIMTOM etchings in the run outs. I have tried to photograph these but it is tricky, hopefully the shots attached are some use. This info leads me to believe that this is a test pressing of what is knows as the 'CBS Pressing' on Discogs. That listing, however, mentions a picture sleeve and this has no picture sleeve and never has done. It was given to me by a friend who worked for a while in the Rough Trade warehouse back in the late 80's in the cover it is in now. I wasn't aware that test pressings came with picture sleeves but there is a good chance I could be wrong on that.
Please note- THERE IS NO BUY IT NOW PRICE. So please don't ask. Any other questions, please feel free to get in touch.
