Description
Ah, The Smiths. The pinnacle of self-indulgent, whingy, navel-gazing self-pity music. There was nothing about these guys I liked back when they were relevant, and even less now that Morrissey has become an aging, bloated, sweaty, bitter, anti-vaxxing, covid-denying, nationalist.
But then again, we need to separate the art from the artist, and even though the music isn't my taste I do admit they did have both an impact and quite a bit of importance. I honestly cannot recall how I got this record, but I can definitely say I have never once put this on my turntable. What does that mean? Well, aside from meaning I am not a Smiths fan, it also means this record is not worn out at all.
Condition:
- Vinyl (visual grade): VG+ (7/10). The good is the vinyl is very clean, has a strong shine, and shows no sign of real wear. The bad is there are some surface blemishes including a few superficial scratches along the surface. But again, the stylus plays from inside the groove, not the top so nothing here should impact play in any way. In fact, I'd bet dollars to donuts that this plays pristine.
- Jacket: EX (8/10). Clean, glossy, and unmarred. Minor corner, edge, and ring wear. Faint creasing along the spine. All seams are solid. Plus it comes with the original lyric insert.
- Play: -- (X/X): I honestly can't tell you how this plays because I haven't listened to it. My turntable needs a new stylus.
Note: I know what it's like to get scammed by dishonest ebay sellers, so I do my absolute best to ensure that this item is described honestly. I'm proud of the fact I have perfect feedback as a seller, which means you can bid with confidence. If you would like any additional information, don't hesitate to ask.
