The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead LP - 1st Issue - UK Rough Trade

I'd forgotten how loud this record is! It starts quiet and then the combined Marr/Rourke/Joyce assault throws you against the back of your seat. This is the Smiths firing on all cylinders.

The vinyl is EX+. The former owner played it once, copied it to tape and filed the LP away. It's just been professionally cleaned and really does look as good as you can see in the pictures. I'm tempted to say this is the best copy I've seen since 1986 when I got mine in Our Price, Hereford. There's one very small mark towards the end of Never Had No-One Ever but it's all but inaudible.

The sleeve is also EX+, the corners are great, it's shiny, clean and unfaded. Ditto the printed inner sleeve. The record lives in an anti-static liner now it's been cleaned.

There are probably a few copies of this album for sale on ebay today but I doubt any are as good as this - it's 29 years old and could pass for new!
