For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - 'The Queen Is Dead' German Green Vinyl LP - 1986

It is often said that the original coloured vinyl German pressings are amongst the most interesting and collectable of The Smiths records as released first time around, and this German issue of the classic Smiths LP was pressed on striking green vinyl. The green gatefold outer sleeve differs from the UK release in the addition of a line of white text on the reverse indicating the name and contact details of the German counterpart of Rough Trade records. Such items as this are generally considered far more desirable than the various coloured vinyl bootleg LPs which have appeared on the market more recently. These original 1980s German pressings are becoming harder to find in good condition and this example has been preserved extremely well (see below). Such is the collectability of the item that it was listed as high as Number 51 in Record Collector's all-time 'Top 100' Smiths rarities in 2005.The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, with minor 'hairline' surface marks, visible on the vinyl if the record is held to the light, and the record appears to be unplayed. The original picture inner sleeve is also present and intact. The impressive gatefold outer sleeve is highly glossy and in near mint condition, with sharp strong corners and edges and no creases or other appreciable signs of wear other than extremely mild 'corner wear' in a few places. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.

Postage and Packing is 2.50 in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, this is subsidised by myself and the actual costs to me will usually be higher. Please do consider paying the extra 70p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. Extra items are sent at no extra postage charge to the buyer (see below).
