Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

This 7" Smiths single is almost certainly the most desirable of the WEA re-issue singles which were released into the market in the early 1990s. Highly-anticipated at the time, owing to the fact that 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' was never released as a single in the UK under Rough Trade, the popularity of the title track and the unique light blue Sandie Shaw sleeve artwork combine to produce a very nice collectable item. This particular copy has paper labels rather than the silver injection-moulded type which are alternatively often seen in examples of this release.The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, with just fine 'hairline' superficial surface marks which can only be seen if the vinyl held to the light and which do not affect play. It appears to have been played just a few times and has been very well looked after. The outer sleeve is also graded as strong excellent and has no seam splits, writing or tears, with just some minor 'rippling' and corner wear in a few places; there are no significant creases anywhere. The only imperfection is a small region towards the top right corner where the surface shine of the sleeve has been lost due to the past removal of a sticker, but this can only be seen if the sleeve is held to the light. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
