UK Rough Trade LP Test Pressing of 1984 Debut Album "The Smiths" - I bought this from a guy from Manchester years ago who claimed it was originally owned by Johnny Marr. I naturally was not convinced, but bought it on the basis that it was a test pressing, not for the claim the seller was making. Nevertheless, over the years I have seen genuine examples of Johnny's handwriting, and they match well with the handwriting on the corner of the sleeve and the record labels. The last two photos are examples of Johnny's handwriting that I have uploaded to compare against, one for his copy of the HIG TP, and an early chord sheet for early tracks which I found via Tumblr. The most obvious comparators are the way Johnny does his T's and M's - but I'll let you decide what you think. For the avoidance of doubt, the last two photos do not form part of this auction (I wish they did!).
Record is in Good Condition - Has been played a lot!
