The Soft Boys - Give It To The Soft Boys 7" (UK, electro, Katrina The Waves, EX)

This is a 7" single by The Soft Boys called Give It To The Soft Boys, released in the UK by Raw Records in 1977. 

Wikipedia:  The Soft Boys were a proto-punk and power-pop band led by Robyn Hitchcock primarily during the 1970s,[1] whose initially old fashioned music style of psychedelic/folk-rock[2] became part of the neo-psychedelia scene with the release of Underwater Moonlight.[3]

The band formed in 1976 in Cambridge, England as Dennis and the Experts comprising Robyn Hitchcock (guitar), Rob Lamb (half brother of radio host and author Charlie Gillett; guitar), Andy Metcalfe (bass), and Morris Windsor (drums). Alan Davies replaced Lamb after only four gigs late in 1976, and Kimberley Rew eventually replaced Davies. Matthew Seligman replaced Metcalfe in 1979.

The band broke up in 1980 after Underwater Moonlight. Rew formed the more mainstream pop group Katrina and the Waves, while Hitchcock went on to a prolific career mining the same whimsical, surrealistic territory the Soft Boys explored.

They briefly re-formed for a UK tour in 1994 and then again in 2001 for the 20th anniversary of Underwater Moonlight and the release of a new album, Nextdoorland (in 2002). They disbanded once again in 2003.

VINYL:   EX        The vinyl is very nice and shiny with only a few faint paper marks on each side. 

LABELS:  EX       The labels are also extremely nice with one very faint spindle mark each.  There is no wear, no discolourations, no stains, sticker marks or writing. 

SLEEVE: EX       The flipback paper sleeve is in very nice condition for it's age.  Normally these thin paper sleeves get split or have lots of bends/wear.  This sleeve is very nice with only slight corner/edge wear, no splits, spots of faint ringwear and a couple light thumb creases along the open edge.

Email for combined postage rates.  I use heavy mailers with stiffeners and plastic sleeves which are included in the postage.  All items will have Proof of Postage.  Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery which is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.     With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
