BRIGITT'S Song (Tell Me Something Sweet) From "AND GOD CREATED WOMEN" w BETTY MADIGAN This major motion picture from the mid-fifties has a score by PAUL MISRAKI. It starred BRIGITTE BARDOT and the song drawn from the theme is called "BRIGITTE'S SONG (TELL ME SOMETHING SWEET)". The lyrics are credited to Judy Spencer and Andre Hornez. I first heard it sung by a pop duo out of NYC named CINDY (LORD) & LINDY (Dougherty) and it was one of those rare songs that never ever really leaves your head. However, I wasn't aware until recently that pop singer BETTY MADIGAN had also recorded it for CORAL Records and may actually have sung it in the picture. The label reads "As Sung by Betty Madigan in the Kingsley International Release". But, while it seems likely that the song was heard over the credits, I haven't been able to verify that elsewhere. BETTY MADIGAN was first signed to MGM Records, and had her one and only hit record with them, a song called JOEY. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0BiY5JGIqs When her MGM contract was over, she moved to CORAL and then later also recorded briefly for 20TH CENTURY FOX Records. This CORAL single with 'BRIGITTE'S SONG' is number 9-61882 and is in LIKE NEW condition. (Side two is a Tom Glazer-Marty Gold song called 'The Heart Mender'.)
