This rare 10-inch, 33 1/3 rpm, Decca DL 5358 record and its album cover are each in very-good-plus condition. I can detect a light-surface scratch on Side 2 of the record. The album cover is for the most part intact with some fraying/spine splitting on the left side, the top and bottom spines being quite good and the front cover having retained vivid coloration.
The music composed for the movie is played by Alfred Newman and his concert orchestra, which won the 1943 Academy Award for "Best Musical Score for Dramatic Picture" from the movie "The Song of Bernadette." He was the Head of 20th Century Fox and composer, arguably the best of his peers, who served in similar capacities for the other major movie studios. He was the uncle of Randy Newman.
