The Sonics "Here Are The Sonics"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Etiquette ET-LPS-024  from 1965.   This is the Stereo pressing of their first album.   It has the second label variation that is pink ( it looks more pink, than purple).   This is the best garage rock album ever issued.    This has to be played as LOUD as you can get.   It sounds like you are in the same room as when the band recorded it !!!

The band is Gerry Roslie, Andy Parypa, Larry Parypa, Rob Lind, and Bob Bennett.   

The songs are : Witch, Do You Love Me, Roll Over Beethoven, Boss Hoss, Dirty Robber, Have Love Will Travel, Psycho, Money, Walkin' The Dog, Nighttime Is The Tight Time, Strychnine, and Good Golly Miss Molly.    

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG /  Record is VG-

The cover is VG.   There is a hint of ring wear and lots of seam wear.   ( The front cover picture is VG+.  This front cover shows cover wear very easily and it's hard to find with a nice picture )   There is a small red mark on front at top right.    There is name written on the back cover at lower right.    The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG-.     There are scuffs on all of the vinyl surface.   Side one has static at the very beginning and between the songs and at the very end.   There are 3 pops at the beginning of song 3.   There are pops between song 4 and 5.     Side two has static at the very beginning, between the songs, and at the very end.   There are pops at the end of song 3.   There are pops between song 5 and 6.    When you play it loud, it sounds great.     Overall it plays better than it looks.       The labels are clean with light spindle marks.  The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 5 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 5 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.     I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
