Description
The ordinary copies of this record are rare enough, & this is a rare promo copy. Although the condition is not the best (see below for details), it's rarity should ensure some lively bidding. This is 'Don't break it up' by The Soul Agents, from 1965, released on Pye no 7N 15768, b/w 'Gospel train'. Using the 'Record Collector' grading system, this is somewhere between 'good' & 'very good'. The record plays fine, but there is surface noise (slightly worse on the 'b' side), & there is a small scratch towards the end of the 'b' side. There are also some scuff marks. The label is slightly discoloured through age. There is a letter 'H' written in biro on the label. I can explain this! My lovely wife Hilary marked all her records thus, when we first got together, & I'm selling this on her behalf. The record comes with an old Pye cover (not the original). This was an old Mod favourite back in the day, & should be of great interest for collectors of that genre.
