Especially, during my twenty years in the Ministry, I have come to recognize more the great asset that this type of singing is to the Kingdom of God. I have been privileged through the years to hear many sing- ing groups in person and by recordings, but I do not believe that any are more sincere and sing for the Glory of God than the SPIRITUALAIRES. I believe their singing conveys the meaning of a statement by the Apostle Paul when he said, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and ad- monishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Col. 3:16. Several months ago the SPIRITUALAIRES made their debut in recording. The acceptance of that album by the public was an inspiration to these fine Christian men and women, leading to this album being offered to all who believe and know that good spiritual Gospel singing is one of the greater things of life to be enjoyed. The Quartet is accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Della Petty, wife of the lead singer, and Mr. J. C. Fralix, a fine Christian gentleman, playing the Bass Guitar. He wrote the much re- quested song, "They Tore The Old Country Church Down." They travel extensively to sing the gospel in song. Their sing- ing engagements have taken them into several states from the South to several states in the North. Requests for their personal appearances have found them on some weekends filling as many as four engagements. On this album, you will hear the SPIRITUALAIRES sing songs of faith, hope, love and inspiration including, "Almost Home", "The Great Beyond", and "I'm Longing For Home".
