Description

I have for auction one copy of the Stone Roses seminal, eponymously titled album  "the stone roses"  on vinyl  - extremely rare to find now. It is the original version - UK first pressing.

 

Catalogue Number: ore lp 502

 

Please note that I have not played this album prior to sale so am going on the Record Collector’s Grading System. This album has not been played for well over 10 years. I have however inspected the record under strong light, and have graded what I can see on both the record and cover according to Record Collector Magazine's Grading System. I tend to grade conservatively:

 

Cover: Excellent -  Rarely been out of plastic folder since day it was bought so basically in really excellent condition.

 

Record: Both sides Excellent- no signs of wear and very few marks – no scratches.

 

All my albums for sale have been kept in plastic vinyl folders since the day they were purchased. The covers of all albums are basically mint and have rarely been out of the cover.

 

Whenever I played any of my albums I always used a vinyl brush to remove any dust hence the good condition that these vinyl albums are in.

The Stone Roses is the debut album by English rock band The Stone Roses, released on Silvertone Records in March 1989. It cemented the band's reputation among critics, and is still rated by some as one of the most important albums ever.[1] In 2004 an Observer Music Monthly poll consisting of musicians and critics voted the album the greatest of all time, as did the writers of NME in 2006, declaring it to be the greatest British album of all time.[2][3] It is widely considered as the seminal record of the Madchester movement that was active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and as being highly responsible for the mid 1990s resurrection of British guitar music that came to be known as Britpop
