Description

Soho Music are more than proud to present this Tape 1 acetate from 1990 for The Stone Roses and their single One Love on Silvertone Records.   This truly rare acetate is in near mint condition and the Tape 1 sleeve is VG++ with some creasing to the top right corner. 7 minutes 24 seconds long.
Acetate discs are unlike ordinary vinyl records, which are quickly formed lumps of plastic by a mass-production moulding process, an acetate is created by using a recording lathe to cut an audio-signal-modulated groove into the surface of a special lacquer coated blank disc, a real-time operation requiring expensive, delicate equipment and expert skill for good results. They are usually made for special purposes and almost never for sale to the general public. An acetate can be played on any normal record player but will suffer from wear more quickly than normal vinyl.  Acetates are usually made by dubbing from a master recording in another medium, such as magnetic tape.
Rare as a Dodo.
