Description

7" Spike Island recording from May 1990- THIS RECORD CONTAINS NO MUSIC OF THE STONE ROSES, but captures the atmosphere of the event, vendors, punters, dealers, firework display-  all on this record.

Please note the vinyl is in good condition, but the sweet banana candy has deteriorated, as has the sweet cigarette, the Spike Island grass is still in the bag, as is the badge and sticker still present, the plain white sleeve has sweet banana residue over it, the record label has staining as well but the vinyl is still in great shape. A great momento for anyone who was THERE!!!

This one is number 1209 (and no, I didn`t win a copy of So young!)

a true collectors item for any hardcore Stone Roses fan

see decription from Discogs

comes in a clear plastic bag with a sticker that reads "Spike Island" above an illustration of a monkey (in a reference to Ian Brown's 'monkey' dancing etc). The contents of the bag also consist of a paper insert describing the contents which reads
"CONTENTS 1 SPIKE ISLAND E.P. 1 IAN badge 1 BANANA (Ian's favourite) 1 GRASS from backstage (where the stars were) 1 CIGARETTE (the raving was good but the craving was worse) 1 PERSONAL NUMBER for entry into the big 'So Young' draw: 3 copies of the original 12" 45 are to be won. Winning numbers will be published in the music press classifieds during December 1990".
The IAN badge is actually a badge/pin of the monkey design, the BANANA is a small yellow banana shaped piece of candy, the GRASS is a small bag of grass, the CIGARETTE is a candy cigarette and the PERSONAL NUMBER is a three digit number stamped on the insert.

A. Spike Island fan interviews/crowd noises
B. Spike Island PA announcements/post performance fireworks
