I bought this at Steve’s Sounds in Soho out of curiosity. That’s his price sticker on the front. I can just about remember playing the track She Bangs and I Wanna Be Adored and then setting the album aside and concentrating on records I was more interested in at the time. I used to buy lots of records every pay day and I concluded the Stone Roses were for a younger generation and moved on.
So, this record was never really played and has been sitting on my record shelf. It’s therefore in really good condition. The corners of the sleeve show a little bit of wear and that’s just from storage. At some point I put it in a plastic sleeve and that’s protected the original sheen on the record sleeve. The sleeve is in very good+ condition and the inner sleeve is pristine. Steve at Steve’s Sounds used to put biro references on the inside of record sleeves. I’ve just noticed he put one on the inner sleeve too - see photos.
The vinyl is in excellent condition as it has only ever been on my record deck once and I only played a couple of tracks. The record deck was a Thorens 160S with a Linn arm and top grade Ortofon cartridge and stylus so the vinyl has hardly been touched. I don’t know what the embossed cover looks like but this sleeve is not embossed far as I can tell.
