Description

This is a very early US Elektra pressing of The Stooges debut album from 1969.
The following runout text indicates a combined Columbia Pitman/Terre Haute pressing:
EKS 74051 A -CP SS
EKS 74051 B CTH SS

Record grading: G+
Sleeve grading: VG
The record has a lot of light to medium scratches, but it plays well. Fully play tested with moderate surface noise and no skips. I would grade the audio VG, but the amount of scratches it has puts it at G+ visually.
The cover presents well, but has issues that you can see in the photos:

  • Creasing throughout
  • Heavy seam wear on bottom
  • Small seam split just starting to poke through the top center
  • Section on back near the bottom that has been torn off
  • A couple small pieces of old tape on the top seam near the opening edge
  • Former owner's name written on the top back near the opening
  • Original Elektra inner sleeve included but has rips
