PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE BIDDING, BECAUSE THERE ARE NO RETURNS. Lot of used vintage The Stooges 1969 self-titled Debut Album on black vinyl LP and the album Raw Power by Iggy and The Stooges from 1973 also on black vinyl. I have the etchings of each vinyl record as well as the catalogue number for each for you to check for your records or Discogs to verify/double-check which pressing each album is, which I will list here. For The Stooges (1969) record which is Elektra (EKS-74051) and should be printed in the U.S. I believe it is very rare 1969 Monarch Pressing in Stereo (but I could be wrong), based on comparing pictures of record labels on Discogs.com, the etchings, catalogue number, inner sleeve, and that it's stereo. This means I believe this is a re-pressing (not a 1st pressing) from 1969 the same year it came out, so it's still an early pressing, released the same year, verses later pressing. For you to check and make sure yourself, check the red label and the text on or excluded from it, electra yellow and white inner sleeve, and the etchings of side A (for the 1969 album is): "EKS 14051 A MON (MR) (triangle) 13669 SS LH". The etchings of side B for the 1969 album are, "EKS 14051 B MON (MR) N3669 X SS LH". This record has some heavy scratches you can see on the surface, but I cleaned the lp and while I haven't listened to the whole thing and can't guarantee it plays without skips/jumps or scratches, I played bits from each song on the 1969 lp and it sounds very good from what I heard, there is some static, but it definitely plays pretty good for a vintage punk album from 1969 that has had a lot of play over the years. So some static, and there are surface scratches, but plays good for its age, unknown if there are deeper issues on the album. The inner and outer sleeve have the demo record hole punched out as you can see. The bottom of the outer sleeve is cracked open since the glue is old as you can see. There are some old pencil marks on the front cover (some kid sketched on glasses on two of the guys in the band years ago (not on Iggy Pop though) on the front but the pencil is pretty faded actually and some other small doodles in pencil. Heavy ring wear on this cover front and back as you can see. And some other sleeve wear on the outer sleeve. Now for the 1973's Raw Power album, I believe this is a re-pressing from 1976, 3 years after. Still an earlier reissue, but still not a first or same year pressing. The label is columbia, the catalogue number is PC 32111 and it says Columbia Stereo on the side. The etchings on side A of the record for (1973 raw power) is, "P AL 32111-2B B COLUMBIA NY" and side B etchings are, "LP BL 32111-2F COLUMBIA NY B". It comes in a plain white vintage sleeve. The Inner and outer sleeve are in better sleeve than the other record. A smaller amount of ringwear, no pencil on the cover, no demo hole in the sleeve, and less wear, no opening in the bottom. The vinyl has less surface scratches but still has a few. I cleaned it and played a parts from each song. The record also sounds good, however this raw power album seems to have more/heavier static than the debut album unfortunately. Unsure if there are any pops or heavy scratches as I didn't play the album through. Basically, 2 very rare, and desirable vintage Stooges and Iggy and The Stooges Punk/Proto-punk staple albums from 1969 and 1976 I believe. They play nicely for their condition from the parts I heard and they have been played many times over the decades. They still rock. I think both are stereo not mono from the way both are labeled. Again, there are no returns so please inspect the photos above closely and carefully zoomed in and read what I said about the etchings to make sure there are the pressings and records you want. These are the only ones I have as they come from a former punk's record collection. Know they play with some audible static and their sleeves have wear.
